Scalp micropigmentation for Alopecia Areata typically involves the concealment of the round or oval patches of hair loss, whether the hair is shaved or at length. We carry out facial micropigmentation for alopecia on similar patches of loss of the cheeks, chin and neck.

A psychological impact is usually present due to the sudden onset of the condition in comparison to male pattern baldness which is generally considered a more common condition that is easier to accept and comes at less of a shock with its gradual onset. Alopecia Areata often occurs out of the blue with no warning signs or precursors. Stress is certainly a common theme however many of our clients that visit us for Alopecia micropigmentation feel confused and at a loss despite visits to GPs and specialists, and remain bewildered by the condition’s sudden onset.

The good news is that micropigmentation provides an excellent solution for many forms of Alopecia. Also, reassuringly, in some cases we see regrowth - sometimes partial, sometimes complete in our clients. This regrowth is not connected to our treatment yet it is fantastic to hear that the loss is sometimes only temporary.
